At present, students are admitted to an approved UB degree program (biology, chemistry, geography, geology, or natural science interdisciplinary) in order to complete Professional Science Master's coursework. UB is in the process of applying for approval from the New York State Education Department (NYS-SED) to offer Professional Science Master's degrees in molecular chemical biology, computational chemistry, and environmental geographic information systems. Students will have the option to transfer coursework into one of these Professional Science Master's degrees, provided that the necessary NYS-SED approval is obtained prior to their graduation. At this time, students should recognize that if one completes a Master's degree in biology, chemistry, geography, geology, or natural science interdisciplinary prior to UB receiving approval to offer the Professional Science Master's, the students Master's degree will be conferred in either biology, chemistry, geography, geology, or natural science interdisciplinary.
